Noted Lovecraftian horror author W. H. Pugmire (“Wilum”) and I (David Barker) will be doing a signing for our new, collaboratively-written horror novella, The Revenant of Rebecca Pascal, at this year’s World Horror Convention in Portland, Oregon. The novella of 31,000 words will premiere at the convention in a “special WHC trade paperback limited edition.” We will be doing the signing in the Dealer’s Room, at The Book Bin’s table, on Friday, May 9, at 2:00 PM. This signing will not be listed in the WHC program, so you’ll need to make note of the when and where in advance. Later that Friday evening there’s a Mass Signing event at the con from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Wilum and I will both be at that event. I may not stay for the whole time, but I’ll be there for at least the first hour to sign copies of our new book, as well as any other books you want to bring. The Mass Signing is open to the public and free. In general, the WHC is a paid event, so you would need a ticket to get into the Dealer’s Room for our signing at The Book Bin’s table at 2:00 on Friday. The Revenant of Rebecca Pascal is a Lovecraftian tale set in the fictional city of Arkham. I think it’s one of the strongest pieces of fiction I’ve ever had a hand in, and I believe Pugmire’s fans will love it. In addition to this special WHC edition, there will be a limited signed hardcover edition, a deluxe leather bound limited signed edition, and an unlimited trade paperback edition. The book will be announced on the website of the publisher, Dark Renaissance Books, on May 1. Above is a photo of Wilum and I taken by Molly Barker at the 2014 H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival last month. I’m the one making the goofy hand gestures.
